Lets try this again

Sorry about the mix-up on the last post. I accidentally published an old draft from 2018, ugh.

Justin had his final radiation treatment this past Friday, rang the gong, and we hightailed it out of there (a quick 10-hour drive to NM). Here are a couple of shots to give a glimpse of what the past seven weeks have entailed.

This mesh is form fitted to align him perfectly for treatment
The walls of the treatment room are several feet thick, including the door. The proton beam was only on for a couple of minutes
The second half of his treatments were on this machine with his mask on the table next to us. The technician let me unhook him afterwards =)

There were tears from both of us. Seriously folks, it’s super emotional.

And …. I had them play Eye of the Tiger when he was done!

So, for this week, the Yarbroughs are taking it easy.
