Justin was downgraded to floor status yesterday afternoon, but with this insanely busy hospital, a room didn’t become available until nearly midnight. I think we both got better sleep with less interruptions and a touch more privacy.
Justin has already gone for a long walk, just he and I, which was a treat for me. Our goal is two more walks before day’s end.
Pain is still being managed very effectively, labs look great, a chest x-ray has been ordered, and his NG tube capped. Justin’s biggest complaint is that darn tube, causing him to gag and giving him a horrendous sore throat. If he doesn’t experience nausea, the tube comes out around 2:00. Hooray!
Justin is definitely more alert and in better spirits. Nothing is better than hearing him say he loves me ♥
