Cheers to the clear

… clear liquids that is!

Even the smile is somewhat genuine.

The improvement continues. Everyday Justin’s eyes get brighter and his energy improves. He has already been up for a walk this morning, standing taller and at a pretty good pace.

The next steps will be slowly introducing more nutrition, weaning him off the epidural, and moving toward oral pain killers. It’ll be a process, but the doctor seems very pleased with his progress thus far.

I anticipate Justin’s stay here at the hospital will be through this next week, of course dependent on how his bowels respond to food. So far so good!

He’s snoozing now from his walk and his first “meal.” Look how adorable…
