Ahhh, such a good day!
Although the doctor opened Justin’s eating restrictions to a “GI diet,” which is bland and low fiber foods, he took it really slow and over the course of lunch and dinner only had a couple bites of mashed potatoes and pancakes and a couple sips of a smoothie. He complained of slight nausea very briefly and otherwise felt pretty darn good.
However, tomorrow is day 7… This means the epidural comes out in the morning. It has done such an amazing job of pain management we hate to see it go and worry about transitioning to oral painkillers. I’m thinking it takes more than two and a half bites of food for a stomach to tolerate Oxycodone. Hmm, but it’s late and I guess I’ll leave that for tomorrow’s challenges.
So hard to believe only a short week ago we were just starting this journey. Thank you for lifting him up.
Goodnight, my friends. Christina
So good to hear things are progressing nicely. Justin will be home soon, I hope.
