Who’s thirsty?

This week hasn’t been much in the way of visual improvement particularly seeing as Justin is officially 40 lbs down from his starting weight. He seems to be eating more, however, he still has bouts of nausea and indigestion. He staved off IV fluids… until today when I asked him to do it as a Mother’s day gift.

Justin has been experiencing many symptoms of dehydration increasingly over the past week including brain fog, nausea, dry skin and mouth, and intense fatigue. I know he loathes the IV fluids, but it’s difficult watching him struggle and decline when a solution is simple.

He’s feeling better tonight and I’m sure he’ll be even better tomorrow.

We also discussed how it’s time to start doing things for himself. I confess, I’m guilty of spoiling him and Lord knows his mom and grandma are, but the time has come… no more sitting in the recliner all day and having every whim brought to him. And to his credit, he completely agrees.

We’re all anxious to have the old Justin back, the Justin that makes everyone in the room feel extra special. Especially Carter…

He slept in his sleeping bag, on our floor, just to be near Dad. Heart melting!

Happy weekend, folks, and a very special Happy Mother’s Day shout out to all you fab moms out there!

Kiss kiss, Christina
