4 weeks and counting

Justin had his second post-op appointment today and escaped without IV fluids. Woot Woot! The doctor says things are still looking good and that he’s doing well. We were able to schedule his ostomy repair surgery (June 14th) and the couple of appointments leading up to it.

His weight is holding steady at about 40 lbs down. I’m very thankful for the “steady” part!Some days he looks thinner than others, but his beard and shaggy hair aren’t helping. We tried for a haircut today… maybe tomorrow.

These dogs get all the lovin’s!

Aside from the eating and drinking struggle, overall Justin is improving every day, even if it’s ever so slightly. His wits are about him and his eyes are brighter. He’s a doll and I love him. And that’s all I know!
