Yesterday Justin had CT imaging done to verify the resections in his large intestine have healed properly and no leaks were present. Everything looked good and there was no discomfort. Justin did notice a narrowing on the scans, however, with the colon being non-functioning for the past two months, like anything else, it had simply atrophied. That section will bounce back once it’s put back to good use.
This morning Justin met with both the surgeon and his medical oncologist. Although the medical oncologist is on hold at the moment while Justin continues to recover and regain strength, it was great to visit with her and be in the presence of her positive and upbeat attitude. The surgeon, as most are…. was of few words and basically told us “everything is normal.” However, he did mention how he’s astonished Justin has not had a single complication. He stated most patients with his magnitude of surgery typically experience at least one obstacle post-surgery. We’ll definitely count that as a huge blessing! He also wanted Justin to get labs done, but we all know he’s going to dodge a blood draw if at all possible. His thought… they’ll have plenty of opportunities next week… can’t argue that!
Hope this finds each of you well!
Love always, Christina
Tell him I need practice obtaining blood – is he sure he doesnβt want to help me? π Frank is a chicken about needles too π

Lol! His veins hide just thinking about it! And he knows how much worse it is with him being dehydrated
