Justin is out of surgery and in his room! Woot Woot! He happens to be snoozing at the moment, but doing really, really well. I can’t tell you what a relief it is to have this procedure over and done with. Not only that, the doctor said, “It went great. Better than expected.”
He took a little bit to wake up in recovery, however, anesthesia sedates him differently to mitigate nausea, so the longer wake time was somewhat expected. But in his waking moments he continued to cut up with every nurse that came his way and was already asking to go home.
We got stuck with the absolute worst room in this entire hospital! I thought it was going to be bad when they referred to it as surgery overflow, but when we get here, it literally says “annex.” No natural light 😞 no solid door 😩 and right by the automatic, clickity-clock door to the unit 😭 Our window looks out to the atrium… but really we only have a view of the walkway that looks out onto the atrium. I hope this means we won’t be here long!
Anyhoo…
Back to the good stuff, Justin is doing amazing. We couldn’t have asked for it to go any better! Now let’s hope that large intestine wakes up soon and gets down to business. Lol!

Catching some winks in recovery.

He likes to touch my face when he’s loopy.

Sharing his bed with the luckiest gal in town!
One more tidbit of good news… his cancer marker dropped from near 20 to 1.3. I’ll take that all day long!
For now, Christina
That is amazing , God does work miracles . ❤️❤️
