This and that

Today was largely uneventful… aside from scoring a new room. See, it does pay to have a wife that “tactfully” complains. Check out our view now (politely ignore the bird pot, upper left hand corner)

And… they turn the lights off on this end of the hallway at night.

Lol!

Overnight Justin had a couple spells of nausea. I’m no doctor, we’ll maybe as a weekend hobbyist, but my guess is it was from a super empty tummy exacerbated by being mucked with during surgery. I don’t think it was draining as it should have been. (Just my thought, keep in mind, my online degree isn’t accredited) We’ll see how it goes over the next couple days as more liquid food and solids are slowly introduced.

Justin had some x-rays of his gut this morning. I haven’t heard any news so I’m assuming they were unremarkable.

However, getting down to radiology ramped up the pain factor and Justin has been typing War and Peace on his pain medication button ever since. Also, the surgeon packed his incision with gauze since there was a void between the muscle and skin. This helps mitigate a hematoma. I have a video, but I’m thinking that aside from myself, only my Uncle Paul would be interested in watching it.

They gave Justin scrubs to wear instead of a gown…

Doctor. Doctor.

He asked for a white coat and stethoscope in an attempt to plot an escape. But, they were fresh out of those … darn.

Steps to get out of here:

  • Toot
  • BM
  • Tolerate normal food

Hopefully by Monday, folks!

Happy Weekend, Christina
