sometimes it’s not easy.
I fear Justin is repeating past sins. He feels fantastic (in relative terms) in the hospital and crashes hard once he’s home. In my mind, there’s no mystery, but the patient disagrees. I might get a white board and start keeping track of inputs and outputs to maintain the accountability he performs so well for while incarcerated.
It’s the hydration. My goodness, something so simple from a tertiary perspective, yet Justin’s biggest nemesis. I’m not sure if he feels too full or is worried about nausea or what. But one thing is certain, dehydration sucks. Maybe my online, recreational medical diploma isn’t displayed proudly enough for him to take my threats seriously. Tomorrow, however, I won’t be so nice. I can only imagine how he suffers, it’s unbearable to watch and all so needlessly.
So promise me, all of you reading this… if you talk to or text Justin, remind him he should be drinking. Copiously.

This was the last time he chose not to heed my warning.
Stay hydrated, my friends
